Eat the Book and Act

Receiving the word is sweet, but it demands a response: prophesy, take empty places, and live as witnesses.

Read

And I took the little book out of the angel's hand and ate it; and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth; but when I had eaten it, my belly was made bitter. And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

Today’s message

I took the little book and ate it. My mouth was filled with sweetness, just like when someone releases a precise word and we feel that God has seen us. But when it went down, it turned bitter. This bitterness is not defeat; it is the weight of purpose. It is the stomach asking: now, what do I do with what I received? I see many people filled with words but empty of response: services, vigils, promises on the nightstand… and increasing anguish. It is not a lack of revelation. It is a lack of obedience. God did not fill you to stock you up; He filled you to send you.

John heard: you must prophesy again. The sweetness of revelation only finds digestion when it becomes mission. I have seen hunger for the Bible that shamed me: people embracing torn pages as treasure, a man arriving trembling after pedaling far without having anything to eat. Meanwhile, we complain because the plan didn’t work out, the car didn’t change. Brother, sister: you are in this city to change it. The book you ate needs to come out of your mouth and through your hands.

You must prophesy again to many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings

  1. many peoples — reach real people, faces and names, not just a generic audience
  2. nations — cross cultural borders; let the gospel reform mindsets
  3. tongues — overcome barriers; learn, translate, make yourself understandable
  4. kings — influence authorities and leaders with truth, service, and courage
You must prophesy again to many peoples, nations, tongues, and kings.

Now, you cannot fulfill this on the fly. The kingdom advances on two tracks: the prophetic, which sees God's will; and the apostolic, which executes on the ground of the city. We do not live to do things; we live to fulfill what has been said. Therefore, pacify the past in the origin (in Him) and align the present to reach the future. One thing: if you prioritize the essential, everything else finds its place. That’s how I adjusted priorities, cutting distractions that drained me without sending me.

You will need at least four things

  1. Character — it is not reputation; it is God's opinion of you when no one sees
  2. Commitment — first things first, clear priorities, consistency in what God commanded
  3. Competence — sharpen your tools; study, prepare, deliver with excellence
  4. Compatibility — walk with different people; people matter more than method

Do not transfer just strategy; transfer heart. Another does the service in your place; heart, no. Give your heart, and your feet will find the empty places to occupy. I want to see answers: tears that turn into adoption, intercession that becomes a set table, words that turn into transformation of the atmosphere where you step. Let’s spend and let ourselves be spent. Use youth, resources, status, and expertise — but may we be living witnesses of Jesus at every corner.
